Bio-Pycnogenol contains French maritime bark (Pinus pinaster) which works as an antioxidant by protecting cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. It is a natural source of proathocyanadins. Free radicals are chemicals that are created by our own metabolism as well as from environmental factors such as smoking, air pollution and UV light exposure. Bio-Pycnogenol contains 40 mg of active ingredient in an easily absorbed form. The recommended intake is 2 tablets twice daily for the first week, followed by 1 tablet twice daily, thereafter.
