Simethicone is a nonprescription drug used for short-term relief of excess wind in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It is also used to relieve symptoms of infant colic. Simethicone is available as a nonprescription product alone and in combination with nonprescription antacids, for relief of stomach upset.
